Traditonally you will register the birth of your baby and then have a christening a few weeks later.
What happens if you do not practise a particular faith or wish your child to make their own choices later in life?
How do you welcome an adopted child to your family and help them feel they belong?
Let me help you create a beautiful meaningful ceremony to celebrate the arrival of a new member of your family. The ceremony can take place anywhere you wish, be it at home, in hospital, in the garden or in a special place that has significance for you as a family. The ceremony can involve older siblings, step siblings and extended family members. You can have as many "godparents" or "supporting adults" as you feel important, they too can play an important role in the ceremony.
We can use a wide variety of symbols in the ceremony be it water, pebbles, flowers, candles, petals, trees and gifts. The eremony could contain songs, poetry and readings and where appropriate a prayer can be offered.
